Hello traders, I guess you all heard this term from so many top traders shouting in your ear. They grab your collar, shake you, and ask, ‘Have you diversified? No? You fool.’
So you maybe scared not to diversify after the shakeout, and as a wise trader, you must have run to diversify.
Amazing.
Well, how about a fool like me tells you—don’t do that? Would you listen?
You might think, why would you not diversify? But actually, there are a few reasons I’m going to talk about.
Why Diversification is Overrated?
Our only motive in trading is to generate wealth, right?
We are not philosophers like Socratis or Aristotle and we do not want to go against the whole community just to make our point.
I am a trader, only trader, and everything I do or say has only one motive—making trading better.
So I’m speaking from confidence, what I’ve seen in the last 3 bull runs.
Also, when I did some private sessions with the members of TTC, one thing that was common was over-diversification. The portfolios were scattered and hard to manage.
And it’s not our fault—it’s what we’re taught.
