This week had its fair share of turbulence 🌪️, but hopefully we will have clear skies over the weekend, and you can sit back and enjoy this week’s recap.

Captain’s Log ✍

• On Sunday, Annii shared her concerns about a potential bull trap due to low volume and YouTube hype.
• In her mid-week update, she highlighted the levels where Bitcoin whales are placing massive buy orders far below the current price, raising further questions about the ongoing price action. She also discussed how market manipulation, unpredictability, and major news events this week are reasons to be cautious with spot purchases.
• On Thursday, Annii noted that this week’s price action has been pretty rough. The shorts waiting above price, combined with rising open interest and declining volume, suggest that the move to the upside may have been a trap for longs.

 

I don’t think this is the time to be trying to time the market exactly and go all-in at one price. I think the price action is showing us you’re probably not going to get it right if you try to time it perfectly, so you’re better off just having a plan over the next 8 to 10 weeks to divide your money up over whatever it is that you want to buy and just slowly make those buying decisions.

Method Deep Dives 🤿

In this week’s hangouts, Cajun covered how to use staggered entries to build positions and manage risk, and how to use TradingLite to identify order blocks and gauge price direction. He also shared insights from his personal trading journey and learning the TBD method.

The moment it “clicked” for me was when I started seeing the levels play out, day after day, week after week, not necessarily as clean as you would always want, but if you go to the effort looking back and re-charting, you’ll start to see it clearer than anything in the world. The “click” will only happen when you see the model play out consistently, that’s when you develop the trust in the method.

And Cody explored the concept of high-quality trades and the importance of patience and discipline in trading. He also discussed the significance of understanding market maker psychology and shared his approach to identifying trade setups.

It can be really difficult when you feel like you’re meant to be trading and all of the teaching says just wait or don’t take the trade, but then you see other people taking them and making money. There is potential to make money every day, but I don’t think there’s high quality trades every day. I think it’s more likely that there’s two of them a week.

It seems the universe is encouraging us to focus on how emotions influence trading success, as we’ve had some really impactful mindset content about it this week.

• Coach Cat’s latest blog dives into the Transforming Your Money Blueprint, where she discusses how our subconscious beliefs shape financial decisions. She offers strategies to shift away from a scarcity mindset through emotional healing, positive habits, and financial education.
• Cat also explored trading and emotions in her latest hangout, as well as the importance of communication when discussing trading goals with loved ones. You can catch the full replay in the Chill Chat section of the website.
• SilverWolf’s blog on How to Conquer Emotions While Trading is a must-read. He breaks down practical steps to manage emotions, such as fear and greed, during trades, emphasising techniques like mindfulness and emotional detachment to enhance trading decisions and resilience.

 

We shouldn’t have rough days because of our trades. When you enter a trade, count your losses first, not profit. Set the loss in your mind that you’re gonna have this much loss if the trade goes south.
